Cyprus Airways successfully goes live with Mercator's customer relationship information system
Dubai, U.A.E 07 September 2009  Duncan Alexander, Vice President Sales and Market Development, Mercator Mercator’s loyalty and customer relationship management solution, CRIS (Customer Relationship Information System), has now been fully implemented at Cyprus Airways, the national carrier of Cyprus. The airline selected CRIS for its ability to provide an integrated loyalty management solution that would support both their individual membership programme, SunMiles, and also their Executive Club programme SunJet. Cyprus Airways opted for a licensed model of the solution which has been deployed on their own premises. CRIS will be the platform for both Frequent Flier Programme management as well as Customer Relationship Management.

Gulf Air expands its network into Iraq
UAE 05 September 2009  Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain today announced that it will be expanding its network into Iraq. The airline will commence flights four times per week to Najaf from 26 September, which will become a daily service from 26 October. Services to Erbil will begin on 26 October with three flights per week, which will also become a daily service in due course.

Boeing, Turkmenistan Airlines Announce Order for Three Next-Generation 737s

Airbus delivers first A318 with 'steep approach' capability

The A318 is the largest commercial aircraft certified to land at steeper than usual gradients and has the potential to transform long haul travel between city centres, saving time and cost to the business traveller.
